It aims to provide free, short-term, industry-aligned skill training to youth, including school dropouts and unemployed individuals, to enhance their employability. The scheme offers Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for certifying existing skills, monetary rewards upon certification, and special projects for unique job roles. The Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman (PM Vishwakarma) is a Government of India initiative aimed at empowering traditional artisans and craftspeople, such as carpenters, blacksmiths, goldsmiths, potters, and sculptors. The scheme focuses on skill development, financial support, toolkit incentives, and market linkages to enhance their livelihoods and integrate them into the formal economy. It also provides recognition and certification to artisans, helping them access better opportunities.
