New Internship Programme – Food Technology Students
Our future food technologists are taking their skills to the next level! Twenty-six students from the 4th Semester, Department of Food Technology, Government Polytechnic for Women, Srinagar, have begun an exciting 10-day internship at the Department of Horticulture, Lalmandi, Srinagar.
Running from February 16th to 26th, 2026, this programme bridges the gap between textbook learning and real-world application. Under the guidance of our Principal, Mr. Imtiaz Ahmad Shaw, students are diving deep into the science of food processing. They are getting hands-on experience in everything from selecting the freshest produce to mastering the techniques of canning, bottling, quality testing, and safe packaging.
This immersive training wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of Dr. Anjum, Incharge Food Technology, who worked tirelessly to arrange this opportunity, with support from our TPO.
