New Breast Cancer Awareness Session Conducted at Government Women’s Polytechnic College Srinagar

Srinagar (November 6, 2025): A significant Breast Cancer Awareness session was conducted today, 6th November 2025, at Government Women’s Polytechnic College Srinagar for the benefit of students and faculty members of the institution. The session was organized in collaboration with Paras Hospital, a reputed healthcare provider.

The event commenced with a welcome note by the Principal of Government Women’s Polytechnic College Srinagar Er. Imtiyaz Ahmad Shaw, who emphasized the critical importance of awareness in combating breast cancer. The Principal highlighted the need for education on early detection and preventive measures as key factors in reducing breast cancer risks.

The event featured a special lecture delivered by Dr. Shabnam Bashir, a distinguished Breast Oncoplastic and Colorectal Cancer Surgeon. Dr. Bashir provided valuable insights on breast cancer prevention, early detection, treatment options, and the importance of regular health check-ups and self-examination.
