New Government Women’s Polytechnic College Srinagar conducts Workshop on Drug De-addiction
Government Women’s Polytechnic College Srinagar successfully organized a crucial Workshop on Drug De-addiction at its campus in collaboration with the Voluntary Medicare Society. The event aimed to raise awareness and educate students and faculty about the serious issue of drug addiction and the pathways to recovery.
The workshop was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests including Dr. Muzaffar Ahmad Khan, a clinical psychologist at Police Drug De-addiction Centre Eidgah Srinagar, Prof. Masooda Yaseen, former Director of the Skill Development Department, J&K. Their insightful addresses shed light on the challenges posed by drug addiction and the importance of collective efforts for prevention and rehabilitation.
Speakers emphasized awareness, early intervention, and the role of educational institutions in combating substance abuse. The collaboration with Voluntary Medicare Society played a pivotal role in providing expert knowledge and resources for the attendees.
