Srinagar, June 29, 2026: Government Polytechnic for Women, Srinagar, has commenced a 5-day Advanced Training of Trainers (TOT) programme in the Tailoring Trade under the PM Vishwakarma scheme under the tagline “Skill Development for Nation Building.” . Aimed at strengthening skill development in the Kashmir Division, the initiative is training 28 prospective trainers from various institutions across the region, equipping them with contemporary methods and advanced technical knowledge.

This capacity-building programme is designed to empower participants to enhance vocational training in their respective communities. Er. Imtiaz Ahmad, Principal of the institution, reaffirmed the polytechnic’s commitment to vocational excellence and its role in contributing to a skilled, self-reliant nation through such quality initiatives.
